Achieving change in anything, whether it is sport/activity or new skill, takes time, focus and hard work. It might also mean looking at many others influencing factors like the type of equipment that you are using and how well maintained it is, nutrition, fitness, mindset and goal setting, just to mention a few.
In order to get the most from our clients’ development we need to be more involved in the whole process, not just in developing and improving their on-snow performance, but in all areas that have a direct impact on their performance on-snow too.
A word from Stuart Bernard who will be leading the mentorship programme:
“I have been coaching skiing for 27 years and over the last couple I have been working hard on my own personal development and come to realise that there is a direct correlation with the skillsets learnt from personal growth, and skills required to improve ski performance.
I have felt this myself by working on and exploring my own fitness, nutrition, mindset and goal setting and would like to pass this knowledge on.
Finding control in areas of your life outside of skiing can not only change your mindset and attitude to life, but create changes in your skiing too.”
A strong mindset is key if you want to be able to master the challenges life throws at you; if you are able to master your mind you will learn to handle daily stresses with ease and navigate difficult situations with more direction and control.
As a direct result of our skills and the desire to help as many people as possible we are blending our ski coaching knowledge with our new personal development knowledge to offer long term mentorship programmes.
The programme works if you are lucky enough to be in the mountains or even if you are not; if you can work on yourself off-skis, the better you will become on skis.”
