1 Beginner:You have never skied before, this is your first time on skis. Personal Performance (private)
2 Novice:You are able to make linked snowplough turns down ‘green’ runs and are looking to start developing your technique to be more parallel. You wish to progress to ski ‘blue’ runs. Personal Performance (private)
3 Wary Intermediate:You can ski ‘blue’ runs confidently, consistently making parallel turns and are looking to develop these turns further to enable you to ski ‘red runs’. Personal Performance

4 Daring Intermediate:You can make confident linked parallel turns down ‘red’ runs and would like to up your performance on the piste and learn skills to be able to ski ‘black’ runs and more challenging terrain.

On a blue piste you can carve and leave two clean lines from the first 2 thirds of the turn and are wanting to carve throughout the whole turn.

BASI Preparation (potential candidate for L1/L2)
5 Advanced:You can make confident linked parallel turns on most ‘black runs’ and are looking to up your performance on the piste, learn how to ski steeper terrain, bumps & off-piste.

On a steep blue you can make linked carved turns leaving two clean lines throughout the turn and are wanting to become able to achieve this on a red.

6 Confident Skilled Skier – Expert!:You confident skiing on all terrain, with a high level of ski performance. Looking to test your skills in tougher terrain, challenging snow conditions, bumps, steeps & off-piste.
On a red you are able to make linked carved turns leaving two clean lines throughout the turn and are wanting to become able to achieve this on a black.
